ALICE AND THE KITTY CAT

This is the last part of our Instant Costume Challenge and boy, are we sad! We only just realized how much we like playing dress up.
So with one part of us laughing and the other crying, we present to you the pictures of our latest shoot, under the Theme of "Alice in Wonderland". Of course we chose the two most badass characters, namely the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat. And again we have one character, which is more girly and another one that would probably scare the crap out of some people.

To portrait the Queen of Hearts, you'll need a red dress with a hell lotta tulle, a tiny crown and if you're keen to spend money on a piece of cheap plastic, a scepter. Complete the look with with bright blue eye shadow and red lipstick in the shape of a heart and you will sure as hell turn some heads (or maybe even let them roll).

The Cheshire Cat is a bit trickier. You'll need a purple and pink or purple and black striped something, cat ears and as much paint as Lindsay Lohan before a photo shoot. We won't even try to describe how the make up is done, because it takes about an hour and there are too many good tutorials out there.

We hope you enjoyed our Instant Costume Challenge and can assure you, that we will continue it next year.
As always, let yourself be inspired and don't forget that attitude to wear your outfit with!

BATMAN'S VILLAINS

Yes, this is really happening. Wipe your tears, it is true. Tonight we are showing you how to transform yourself into your favorite Batman villain!! Are you excited? Because we most certainly are.

Poison Ivy and the Joker are two very contradictory characters. Poison Ivy is seductive and sexy in a pretty deadly way and the Joker, well what can we say about the Joker? He's the most twisted motherfucker of them all and that's why we love him.

Here's what we did:
For the Poison Ivy costume (which is not that "instant", but all the more awesome), Melina used an old body con dress, sprayed it with glittery green fabric color and glued lots and lots of plastic ivy leafs on it. The rest -as always- is make up. As you can see she even glued some ivy leafs on her eyebrows. Be careful what kind of glue you use, because even though she used lash glue, it hurt pretty bad when she took the leafs of...Complete the look with red heels and green tights (if you think your knees are disgusting for example).

For the Joker costume, the best case scenario would be you having a purple velvet suit at home. But let's be honest here, who the fuck owns something like that? So instead just try to use as many purple garments as you have, or just one, if it's ugly enough (like Ago's blouse). Other necessities are a waistcoat and a tie and OF COURSE the creepy make up. There are hundreds of Joker make up tutorials out there, just take a look and last but not least, please don't use acrylic paint to color your hair, it's really hard to get off...

HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS

We have already shown you how to create an awesome costume, so now it is time to pimp your crib!
We had a lovely handicraft afternoon, took some pictures and had a nice glass of wine.
Just sit back, relax and envy us for our crafty skills! Just kidding, anybody can do it because yes, it's that simple.

"Snakes in a jar" No Samuel L. Jackson there, sorry guys.

Meet Hedwig, our transsexual pet owl.

 Cordelia, the slightly confused ghost.

Jack the Pumpkin King and Luna the speaking cat (we know she has a crescent moon on her forehead and not a star, but it was easier to carve).

Paper bag lanterns. A.k.a "the easiest".

 Hedwig's got a dirty mouth!

 Meet Witch Vader. So fancy!

INSTANT COSTUME CHALLENGE PART 3

Babam! Here we are again with another inspiration for your Halloween costume and since it's Wednesday we decided to go with...Well we will let you guess this one. Just think of the loveliest and most charming girl in movie and TV history. Braided hair and pale complexion? Has a huge urge to kill everybody around her? Come on guys, it's Wednesday Addams! The weirdest of them all, because allegedly weird names evoke weird characteristics.

Wednesday Addams is a super fun and easy costume to create, plus everyone will know who you are (or at least they should...like dude did you even have a childhood?). All you need are striped stockings, a black dress with long sleeves (doesn't matter if it's lace or jersey) and a white collar, which you can cut off a blouse or shirt. Add some black boots with silver buckles and you're good to go.
To complete the look, wear two piggy tails and lots of black eyeliner, make sure you're not tanned at all and if you want to, you can put on some black or purple lipstick.

Maybe you could even convince your friends to dress up as the rest of the Addams family, how cool would that be? See ya in the graveyard!

INSTANT COSTUME CHALLENGE

Since Halloween is coming towards us with huge steps, we decided to prepare something special and very useful for you guys. Some of you may have already planned out an entire outfit and some probably don't even know yet if they're gonna do anything at all. So for the indecisive ones amongst you, we created this challenge to prevent you from going to a Halloween party as a sexy kitten or something else as uncreative as that.
The costumes we put together all consist of things we already had in our closets and we're pretty sure you own stuff that's similar to ours or maybe even better! Just remember, the key essentials to great costumes are make up and a whole lotta attitude, cuz you gotta work that outfit gurl!

Here it comes! For this first round of our instant costume challenge, we let ourselves be inspired by witches, cause let's be honest, everybody wanted to have magical powers at one point in their lives (we still do...) There are a thousand ways to interpret the classic witch costume.
We chose a modern day witch, with high heels, a nice peplum and skin tight pencil skirt. Classy, witchy and sexy at the same time. Complete that look with dark eye make up and luscious red lips. If you want to have an edgier costume, try our interpretation of the sorceress. With a sheer maxi dress and knitted top worn over it, you'll only need some feathers in your hair and/or a dead animal over your shoulder and you'll convince everyone that you live in the woods and sacrifice men to your secret goddess.
